Open Shoppe Art Gallery presents Amir Bey & Mitsuyo Mori

About AMIR BEY

You will enjoy this sculptor's original techniques with copper foil; the etching process is applied to the metal, yet not for printing.  The copper is sometimes engraved and burnt, with additional oils and acids applied to achieve subtle atmospheric effects.  Impressions from the artist's features and hands and those of carefully selected models whose features yield intriguing results. Even when directly viewed the images reflect light in varying ways depending on the angle and the time of day.  Visits to his studio in New York City can be made by appointment. Please Contact Us. If you reside outside of the United States, and you would like to purchase these artworks, also please Contact Us for shipping rates.
